NGC 48 is an intermediate spiral galaxy SABb in the constellation Andromeda, 224.0 from Earth, shining at apparent magnitude 14.93 (). It is catalogued as 2MASX J00140221+4814055, IRAS 00113+4757 and LEDA 929, among 7 designations in total. It was discovered in 1885.
