] NEUTRON STARPSR J1745-2900 is a in the constellation Sagittarius, 27 035 from Earth. It was discovered in 2013.
A magnetar a fraction of a light-year from the black hole at the centre of the galaxy — the closest pulsar to Sagittarius A* known. Its pulses arrive scattered and delayed by the gas of the Galactic Centre, which makes it a probe of that region as much as an object in it.
